Earbuds Manufacturing Process
How Bluetooth Earbuds Move From an Approved Product to Mass Production
Tashells Audio is the Bluetooth audio manufacturing brand operated by Shenzhen iFree Electronics Ltd. Our production facility is located in Fenggang, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. Shenzhen iFree Electronics Ltd. was established in 2014 with a focus on Bluetooth audio product development and manufacturing.
For B2B customers, understanding how earbuds are manufactured helps make OEM/ODM projects more transparent. A reliable manufacturing process is not simply an assembly line. Product specifications, approved samples, components, production controls, functional checks, branding, packaging and final inspection all need to work together.
This page explains the manufacturing workflow we use as the practical framework for Tashells Audio Bluetooth audio projects. Exact production steps can vary by model, product structure and customization requirements.

1. Product Specification & Approved Sample
Mass production should begin from a clearly confirmed product specification.
Before production, the project team confirms the applicable product model, functions, color, logo, packaging, accessories and other agreed requirements. For customized orders, the approved sample provides an important reference for production.
Depending on the product, the confirmed specification may include:
Bluetooth solution/version
Speaker configuration
Microphone configuration
ANC/ENC functions
Battery configuration
Charging method
Touch/button functions
Color del producto
Logo
Accesorios
Firmware functions where applicable
Packaging and labels
For the full customer-facing development workflow, see our OEM Process.
2. Production Planning
After order requirements are confirmed, production is planned according to the product model, quantity, customization, components, packaging and required schedule.
Our established manufacturing capability supports annual production of approximately 2,000,000 pcs, with monthly capacity up to approximately 200.000 unidades, depending on product mix and project requirements.
Our typical B2B MOQ is 1,000 pcs.
Learn more on our Manufacturing Capabilities page.
3. Component & Material Preparation
Bluetooth earbuds contain multiple electronic and mechanical components. The exact BOM varies by model.
Typical components can include:
Bluetooth/audio chipset and PCBA
Speakers/drivers
Micrófonos
Baterías
Charging contacts
Touch or button components
LEDs or displays where applicable
Carcasas de plástico
Ear tips or wearing components
Charging-case components
Magnets
Cables and accessories
Materiales de embalaje
For customized projects, materials also need to match the confirmed color, logo, packaging and other approved requirements.
4. Incoming Material Verification
Before components are used for production, applicable incoming materials should be checked against the order and product requirements.
The exact verification depends on the component and project. It can include appearance, model/specification, quantity and basic functional or dimensional requirements where applicable.
Quality management continues throughout production. See Quality Control →.
5. PCBA & Electronic Subassembly Preparation
The PCBA is the electronic core of a Bluetooth earbud.
Depending on the product platform, it connects and controls functions such as Bluetooth communication, audio processing, microphones, touch controls, charging and other electronic functions.
Electronic subassemblies are prepared according to the selected product solution before final product assembly.
For deeper OEM projects involving component or platform changes, technical feasibility is evaluated during the OEM & ODM development process.
6. Speaker, Microphone & Battery Integration
Speakers, microphones and batteries are critical to the final user experience.
Depending on the product, assembly may involve:
Speaker/driver installation
Call microphone integration
ANC microphones where applicable
Instalación de la batería
Charging contacts
Wiring or electronic connections
Acoustic components
ANC products may use multiple microphones and require a different acoustic/electronic configuration from basic TWS products.
Open-ear products also require a different structural and acoustic approach because the speaker is positioned outside the ear canal.
7. Earbud Assembly
The earbud housing and internal components are assembled according to the product structure.
Important considerations include correct component positioning, housing fit, left/right consistency, cosmetic appearance and the integrity of the assembled product.
Different products—such as in-ear TWS, ANC earbuds, ear-hook open-ear models and ear-clip products—require different assembly structures.
Explore our main product categories:
8. Charging Case Assembly
For TWS products, the charging case is another important part of the system.
Depending on the design, charging-case assembly can include:
Batería
Charging PCBA
Charging contacts
Magnets
LED indicators or display
USB charging interface
Housing components
The earbuds and charging case need to work correctly as a complete system.
9. Firmware & Functional Configuration
Some product functions depend on the selected Bluetooth platform and firmware.
Depending on the project and supported platform, configuration can involve:
Bluetooth device name
Touch-control logic
Audio/EQ settings
ANC/transparency functions
Low-latency mode
Indicaciones de voz
Other supported functions
Not every platform supports every type of customization. Firmware requirements should therefore be confirmed before mass production.
10. Functional Testing
After assembly, applicable product functions need to be checked.
Depending on the model, functional testing can cover:
Power on/off
Bluetooth pairing
Left/right connection
Reproducción de música
Speaker operation
Microphone operation
Touch/button controls
Charging
LED/display functions
ANC where applicable
Transparency mode where applicable
ENC/call functions where applicable
Other product-specific functions
For a dedicated explanation of our testing framework, visit Testing Lab →.
11. Cosmetic & Assembly Inspection
Product appearance matters, especially for private-label and retail orders.
Inspection can include:
Housing appearance
Acabado de superficies
Assembly gaps
Product cleanliness
Color consistency against approved requirements
Logo appearance
Charging-case appearance
The applicable criteria depend on the confirmed order requirements.
12. Branding & Packaging
After the product and branding requirements are confirmed, products can be prepared with the applicable private-label elements.
These may include:
Product logo
Charging-case logo
Product labels
Custom box
Manual de usuario
Barcode
Accesorios
Shipping marks
See our Custom Packaging service for the packaging workflow.
13. Final Inspection
Before shipment, the finished order can be checked against the agreed product, branding, packaging and quantity requirements.
Customers may also arrange third-party pre-shipment inspection when required.
See Quality Control →.
14. Carton Packing & Shipment Preparation
Finished products are packed into shipping cartons according to the approved packaging arrangement.
The relevant shipment information is then coordinated according to the agreed trade terms and logistics arrangement.
For Bluetooth audio products containing lithium batteries, applicable transportation documentation and shipping requirements should be confirmed according to the product, destination and shipping method.
Manufacturing Process by Product Type
Auriculares TWS
TWS production focuses on two earbuds plus the charging case as an integrated system. Pairing, left/right operation, charging and battery-related functions are important checks.
Auriculares ANC
ANC products add microphones, noise-cancellation functions and additional acoustic/electronic requirements. ANC and transparency functions should be verified according to the product configuration.
Auriculares inalámbricos de oído abierto
Open-ear products require different wearing structures and acoustic positioning. Assembly and evaluation should consider wearing stability, speaker position, comfort and sound leakage.
