Bluetooth Earbuds Certifications & Compliance

Certification Support for OEM & ODM Bluetooth Audio Projects

Tashells Audio is the Bluetooth audio manufacturing brand operated by Shenzhen iFree Electronics Ltd. Our production facility is located in Fenggang, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. Shenzhen iFree Electronics Ltd. was established in 2014 with a focus on Bluetooth audio product development and manufacturing.

For B2B buyers, product compliance should be considered before mass production—not after the goods are ready to ship.

Our existing Bluetooth earbuds product platforms currently have compliance documentation including CE, RoHS and FCC for applicable models/configurations. For the batteries used in our earbuds products, MSDS documentation is available for applicable battery models.

Additional testing, reports or certifications can also be arranged when required by a customer’s destination market, sales channel or project specification. Additional certification and testing costs are normally paid by the customer, and the exact cost, sample requirements and lead time must be evaluated for the specific product and requested certification.

Our Current Certification & Documentation Support

The following are the main compliance documents currently available for applicable Tashells Audio Bluetooth earbuds platforms.

Certification / DocumentCurrent SupportTypical Relevance
CEAvailable for applicable productsEuropean-market product compliance
RoHSAvailable for applicable productsRestricted substances / environmental compliance
FCCAvailable for applicable productsU.S. wireless/electronic product compliance
Battery MSDSAvailable for applicable battery modelsBattery material/safety information and logistics documentation
Other certifications/testingCan be arranged when requiredDepends on market, customer, sales channel and final product

Important: Certification documents are product- and configuration-specific. A report available for one model should not automatically be assumed to cover another model or a substantially modified OEM configuration.

Before placing a bulk order, please send us the exact model, destination market and certification requirements so our team can check which existing documents are applicable.

CE Documentation

CE-related compliance is relevant for products placed on applicable European markets.

For supported Bluetooth earbuds platforms, Tashells Audio can provide available CE documentation associated with the applicable product/configuration.

However, OEM changes can matter. Changes to electronic components, wireless solution, battery, product structure or other relevant specifications may affect whether an existing report can be used for the final customized product.

For this reason, certification requirements should be reviewed after the final product configuration is sufficiently clear.

RoHS Documentation

RoHS relates to restrictions on certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

RoHS documentation is available for applicable Tashells Audio product platforms.

For B2B buyers selling into markets or channels that request RoHS documentation, we recommend confirming the applicable report for the selected product before mass production.

FCC Documentation

FCC compliance is an important consideration for Bluetooth audio products intended for the U.S. market.

FCC documentation is available for applicable Tashells Audio Bluetooth earbuds platforms.

As with other compliance documentation, customers should not assume that a document for one product automatically applies to every customized version. If an OEM project introduces changes that affect the certified configuration, additional evaluation or testing may be required.

If the United States is your target market, tell us at the beginning of the project so compliance requirements can be considered during product selection and development.

Battery MSDS Documentation

Bluetooth earbuds and charging cases contain rechargeable lithium batteries, so battery documentation is an important part of product and logistics preparation.

MSDS documentation is available for applicable batteries used in our earbuds products.

Battery-related documentation should be matched to the actual battery used in the final product.

Shipping requirements can also vary according to the battery, finished product, destination, carrier and transportation method. Buyers should confirm the documentation required by their freight forwarder or logistics provider before shipment.

Need Another Certification?

Additional Certification Can Be Arranged

Different countries, customers, marketplaces and sales channels can require different reports, tests or certifications.

If your project requires documentation beyond our existing CE, RoHS, FCC and applicable battery MSDS, tell us before placing the order.

Our team can evaluate whether the requested testing or certification can be arranged for the selected product.

How Additional Certification Works

  1. Tell us the destination market and required certification.

  2. Confirm the final product/model and OEM configuration.

  3. We evaluate the testing/certification requirement.

  4. Applicable laboratory/testing cost is quoted separately.

  5. The customer confirms and pays the additional certification/testing cost.

  6. Required samples and documentation are prepared.

  7. Testing/certification is arranged according to the applicable project requirements.

  8. The resulting documentation is provided according to the completed testing/certification project.

The exact process, cost and lead time depend on the requested certification, final product configuration and third-party testing requirements.

We do not include every possible international certification in the standard unit price because different customers sell into different markets and do not require the same documentation.

Certification Should Be Confirmed Before Mass Production

One of the most avoidable OEM sourcing problems is waiting until the product has already been manufactured before checking compliance requirements.

We recommend discussing certification during the early stages of the OEM Process.

A practical sequence is:

Target Market → Product Selection → Final Configuration → Required Certification → Sample/Testing → Approval → Mass Production

This helps reduce the risk of selecting a product configuration that later requires unexpected changes or additional testing.

Does Customization Affect Existing Certifications?

It can.

Simple branding changes and deeper technical modifications are not the same from a compliance perspective.

For example, an OEM/ODM project may involve changes to:

  • Bluetooth chipset/platform

  • PCBA

  • Batterie

  • Charging system

  • Antenna/wireless configuration

  • Product structure

  • Electronic components

  • Firmware/functions

  • Other technical specifications

Whether an existing report remains applicable depends on the actual change and the applicable compliance requirements.

Therefore, when you request deeper customization through our Services OEM et ODM, certification requirements should be reviewed together with the technical specification.

Certification Support by Project Stage

Before Product Selection

Tell us your destination market and sales channel.

This allows compliance requirements to be considered when selecting a suitable Bluetooth audio platform.

During Sample Development

Confirm the final product configuration and identify which existing documents may apply.

If additional certification is required, this is a good stage to evaluate the requirement and cost.

Before Mass Production

Confirm required certification/testing and avoid unapproved technical changes that could affect the final compliance configuration.

Before Shipment

Confirm that the applicable product, battery and shipping documentation required for the order and logistics method is prepared.

Factory Testing vs. Regulatory Certification

These should be treated as two different parts of product assurance.

Factory Product Testing

Our product testing framework can include applicable checks such as:

  • Bluetooth pairing and connection

  • Audio function

  • Speaker operation

  • Microphone/call function

  • ANC/transparency functions where applicable

  • ENC/call functions where applicable

  • Touch/button controls

  • Charging

  • Appearance

  • Image de marque

  • Packaging and accessories

Learn more on our Testing Lab page.

Regulatory / Compliance Testing

Formal regulatory testing or certification depends on the product, market and applicable requirements and may involve external testing/certification services.

Tashells Audio does not present its internal product-testing activities as a substitute for required third-party regulatory testing.

This distinction is important for accurate compliance planning.

Certifications & Compliance FAQ

What certifications do Tashells Audio earbuds currently have?

For applicable existing product platforms, our current compliance documentation includes CE, RoHS and FCC. Applicable earbud batteries also have MSDS documentation.

Availability should be confirmed for the specific product/model selected.

Do all Tashells Audio models have exactly the same certification documents?

No. Certification documentation is product- and configuration-specific. Please ask us to confirm the available documents for the exact model you are considering.

Can Tashells Audio arrange certifications other than CE, RoHS and FCC?

Yes, additional certification or testing can be evaluated and arranged when required by the customer, subject to the product and requested requirements.

Who pays for additional certifications?

If a customer requires additional certification or testing beyond the documentation already available for the selected product, the additional testing/certification cost is normally paid by the customer.

We will evaluate and quote the applicable cost before proceeding.

Does the standard product price include every certification?

No. Different markets and customers require different certifications, so additional project-specific certification/testing is not automatically included in the standard product price.

Do your earbud batteries have MSDS?

MSDS documentation is available for applicable battery models used in our earbuds products. The documentation should be matched to the battery used in the final product.

Can I use an existing certification report after changing the product?

Not automatically. Technical modifications can affect whether existing documentation remains applicable. The final customized configuration should be reviewed before relying on an existing report.

Should I arrange certification before or after placing the order?

We recommend identifying certification requirements before mass production, ideally during product selection and sample development.

Is your Testing Lab the same as a certification laboratory?

No. Our internal product testing and quality activities should not be confused with formal regulatory certification or accredited third-party laboratory testing.

Where are Tashells Audio products manufactured?

Our production facility is located in Fenggang, Dongguan, Guangdong, China.
